Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort, formerly a membership park known as River Grove RV Resort, is now privately owned and open to the public. Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort has seen some major renovations during the winter of 2010. The new ownership fell in love with this gem and is committed to bringing it to its full potential as a destination RV Resort. Come experience the peaceful giant redwoods of Santa Cruz, and the sounds of the San Lorenzo River while only minutes away from downtown Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort offers a beautiful, clean and safe environment for the entire family. Our large recreation room, overlooking the San Lorenzo River, has a pool table, foosball table, ping-pong table and card tables. A great space for club and group outings or is available to rent for private functions.

The Santa Cruz Mountains have a Mediterranean type climate typical of most of California, with the majority of the annual precipitation falling between November and April. Located among the redwood forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains our climate is mild with average summer day time temperatures in the mid sixties, autumn in the mid fifties, winter in the mid forties and spring in the mid fifties. Fog can play a significant role in this area so please bring layers.

• The Santa Cruz Mountains have been a legally defined American Viticulture Area since 1981. The Santa Cruz Mountain AVA has emerged as premier producer of top wines, recognized in the historic Judgment of Paris on May 26, 1976.
• The previous historic Old Almaden Winery was located on the eastern slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
• Film director Alfred Hitchcock and his wife Alma had their primary residence near Scotts Valley, the Cornwall Ranch, purchased in September 1940
